В основу книги Майкла Талбота положены гипотезы двух выдающихся современных ученых – пионера квантовой физики Дэвида Бома, ученика и последователя Эйнштейна, и известного нейрофизиолога Карла Прибрама. Они пришли к выводу, что весь материальный мир, от снежинок и электронов до баобабов и падающих звезд, не имеет собственной реальности, а является проекцией глубинного уровня мироздания. Вселенная – и это подтверждает ряд серьезных исследований – представляет собой гигантскую голограмму, где даже самая крошечная часть изображения несет информацию об общей картине бытия и где все, от мала до велика, взаимосвязано и взаимозависимо.
